Club Profile

Pine-Richland Aquatics (PRA) strives to be an area leader in amateur swimming. Founded in 1994 with 2 coaches and 32 swimmers, PRA has grown to include more than 180 swimmers and 6 coaches.  We would be considered a Distance and Individual Medley team, even though the VCC scores say other wise.  We like to promote well rounded swimmers in all 4 strokes.  Our goal is to provide our swimmers the chance to swim in college and beyond.

Since then we have produced 8 nationally ranked swimmers with 13 others achieving national top reportable times. PRA has set 14 AMS records, 7 eastern zone all star meet champions, 8 swimmers and one relay make Junior Nationals , and 3 swimmer has made the US Open and both Long Course and Short Course National Championships, 2 swimmers swam at the OW Nationals, and 1 NAG record holder in 2 events. Numerous swimmers have participated in the Eastern Zone All-Star meets. We continually increase the number of swimmers we send to the Speedo Sectional Championships. Eight swimmers have qualified for the Open Water Nationals. All the swimmers highest meets can be found under the Who's Who tab.  We have sent swimmers to the AMS elite camp, eastern zone select camps, USA Swimming Distance Camp, and USA Swimming Open Water National Select camp.

PRA prides itself on the quality of swimmers at all levels. We take great delight in the fact that we offer one of the largest 8 and under programs in the area. We continually rank in the 500 out of 7000 clubs in the nation.

In 15 years, our team moved from being a "B" and slower team to a "BB" team. We will continue to work to offer the best opportunities to our athletes and families. We look forward to the future and appreciate what all the families of the past and present have done to make our club a success.
